They’re buying the house. If I was buying the house and planning on living in it for a while it wouldn’t be too strange of a thought to have. My folks don’t need to plan on that for their house though. Be proud of being an adult, Matthew!

Are they buying a house, or you?

I got stressed about having enough rooms in ours for kids, but then my wife reminded me of how long it’ll be. We probably won’t have kids for another 6-8 years, and then they’ll be just fine in the single, small room on the main level for the first however-many years. We want to finish the basement, but there’s not really much of a rush when we won’t need the extra room for another 10, 15, or 20 years.

Man… that paragraph makes me feel so old and grown-up. Weird.

oy, tis very painful. Tell me that’s where it started and ended. honestly im almost wired for awkward statements myself. Awkward moments really do happen too often.

I had no idea you were an Omeganaut! No wonder I didn’t see you all PAX >.<

Congrats on the self-control and the chance to heal a bit. I had a similar experience when I traveled to Europe for three weeks in 2005. For me, it was the opportunity to drink all I wanted along with the decision to not drink a drop. After controlling myself for that time, I discovered when I returned to the states that I finally had full control all the time.

I think I’m going to return to PAX next year with my wife in tow, making it double plus good. Pretty excited already

Squirtle > Charmander. My favorite activity in the old Pokemon games is turning a magikarp into a gyarados. It’s such a pain in the ass but so worth it when gyarados destroys opponents.
